Dr. Zargarpour in a meeting with Asad Qaisar, speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly, and his delegation said that Pakistan as a brother and neighbor country has a deep and historical relation with Iran.
He added, "We should benefit from the historical potentials and religious and cultural ties and expand relations between the two countries."
The governor general asserted, "Based on the policies of Iranian new government, we would like to expand relations with other countries especially neighbor ones. Hence, Esfahan province calls for strengthening ties with Pakistan especially Peshawar province."
Pointing to the previous memorandum of understanding and agreements between Esfahan and Peshawar provinces, Dr. Zargarpur asked for forming a commission to survey the implementation of the underwent approvals and agreements.
The governor general recommended the consul-general of Pakistan in Esfahan as the responsible for forming the mentioned commission.
Referring to his visit to Pakistan at the invitation of minister of energy and water affairs of Pakistan, Dr. Zargarpour expressed Esfahan’s readiness for cooperation in implementation of water projects, power plants and construction of steel and alloy factories in Peshawar.
The speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly while expressing happiness to visit the city of turquoise domes and capital of Islamic culture and civilization said, "You are the best people in the world and you have the best country and religion."
Asad Qaisar stated, "It is my duty to pursue the implementation of the MOU.”
Expressing that the role of Pakistan’s consul-general in Esfahan is very important in this MOU, he added, "Regarding the infinite potentials of Esfahan province, we are ready to get the cooperation of this province particularly in the fields of steel industries, power plant and tourism."
