The governor general stating that the majority of people of Esfahan are artists and art lovers, said, "Esfahan is the capital of culture, civilization and art of Islamic Iran and is known as half the world for its natural and historical attractions."
Pointing to good relations between the two countries, he expressed satisfaction with clear and impartial stance of Switzerland in different political fields.
Dr. Zargarpour pointed to the tourist attractions of Esfahan Province and said, "We give a warm welcome to the foreign investments in tourism section."
Yves Rossier, Switzerland secretary of state, also pointed to the tourist attractions of Esfahan and said, "We know Esfahan as whole the world not half the world."
Referring to the history of science and culture and Iranian scholars, he said, "The strong relations between Iran and Europe that existed in the past should be revived and resumed strongly."
Yves Rossier stating that Switzerland does not accept any sanctions against Iran at all said, "In the current time, we are trying to make Iran and West close together."
Stating that Switzerland is the ambassador of Iran's peaceful message to the U.S. and European officials, he said, "It is very painful that the real image of Iran has not been presented and I hope this situation will change."
He professed regret at the West position in the war between Iran and Iraq and continued; "Now the right position of Iran in that war is obvious to everyone."
Yves Rossier pointed out that Iran government should take a new approach and have more interactions with other countries and the new approach of Iran will be promising for new relations.
At the end, he requested for strengthening ties and increasing economic and cultural relations of Esfahan with Switzerland
